In this guide we will break down the part numbers for these switches, and show you how to order the perfect switches for your project.
The RJSPS Styles Explained
LED Indicator
Indicators are used to indicate whether a machine/system is working, or as a warning signal to the user when there is an problem.
Push Button
These switches are operated by pushing down on them to ‘make’ or ‘break’ a circuit and have a momentary or latching mechanism.
Key Lock
Key Locks are a variety of rotary switch that are activated by turning a key. They are commonly used in applications that require extra security.
Selector
Selectors are another kind of rotary switch that are commonly used to turn a device on/off, or to select pre-set functions such as volume/speed.
E-Stop
Emergency Stop switches are large push buttons that will immediately shut down a machine/process when pressed, in the case of an emergency.

What do the part numbers mean?
Part numbers for components can often be confusing, so we’ve provided this handy guide to break down what each part of the number means, plus some examples of what these parts look like.
For Indicators or Push Button Switches:
As an example, if you ordered an RJS-PS8A-381-RE, the switch pictured here is what you would receive. A red, square LED illuminated push button switch, with an 8mm panel cut out. It would have a latching function, SPDT (single pole, double throw) contact and 12 volts direct current.
For Key Lock or Selector Switches:
As an example, if you ordered an RJS-PS16A-732-3, you would receive the switch pictured here. A non-illuminated, rectangular key lock switch, with a 16mm panel cut out. It would have a 3 position configuration with a latching function, and DPDT (double pole, double throw) contact.
