What is a High Current Switch?

High Current Switches are switches that are designed to handle a higher current than other push button switches. This makes them suitable in applications such as heavy-duty machinery or industrial controls.

Our High Current Anti-Vandals replace traditional multiple-component assembly with their single-unit design. Now available at ratings of 12V/20A & 24V/15A resistive load.

Size Options

Our High Current push buttons are available in four sizes:

16mm | 19mm | 22mm | 25mm

The RJS107 Series features a 1NO circuit and is available in all four sizes.

The RJS207 Series has a 2NO circuit and is only available in 22mm and 25mm.

LED Illumination Options

We supply both non-illuminated and single LED illuminated High Current switches.

Choose to have ring or ‘power symbol with ring’ LED illumination, and then select the LED colour(s):

  • Red
  • Blue
  • Green
  • Yellow
  • Orange
  • White
  • RGB – combining red, green and blue to achieve over 16 million different hues of light
IP Rating

All of our High Current push button switches are IP67 rated (from the front). This means that they are completely protected against dust over an extended period of time, and against water immersion for up to 30 minutes, between depths of 15cm to 1m.

When selecting any metal switch for your design, don’t forget to check the IP Rating.

Momentary or Latching?

All of our High Current switches are available with a momentary or latching function.

  • A momentary push button switch will immediately spring back and return to its natural state once the button has been pressed.
  • A latching push button switch will stay down (latched) when it has been pressed, and will only return to its natural state when pressed again.

Connectors are also available to purchase for these switches.
